I got a drivers lisense and a Job!

Hi ho, how's it? I was walking down the hall on Monday past the door of the head of the food science department, Vicky, and she called to me and ask me to come in. My professor, Hannah (who was on holiday this week) wants me to be the tutor for one of her classes. What does that mean exactly? what will I be doing? what will I get paid? No idea :) Every class has a lecture and a tutorial, at the tutorial the students work through example problems or do some sort of hands on stuff. Vicky said that on Wednesdays Hannah will lead the one tutorial and I will help, and then I will lead the others by myself, a total of three. She said she would handle the paper work and then I left her office. I am hoping to talk to Hannah soon because I start next week! I am really pleased I wanted a job, but new I could not give much time to it and this is perfect, one afternoon a week and I get to teach! the class is a functional foods and food development class, which I love so I think it will be really fun. I will let you know when I know more about it.____________After my fun filled day of shopping with friends I lost my fear of "the city" and yesterday braved the train all by myself to visit the Perth licensing centre (not center you know, centre) to get an Australian license. For two reasons really, one: in case I decide to buy a car I am all set, and two: to have a valid local ID. it gets rather tiring to have your passport on you at all times. I had a surprisingly nice time of it. I was in and out in 15 min! Now, according to my roommate, that is not normal, but I have to say, it was a much nicer experience than I have ever had at home. they centre was clean and did not make my skin crawl. the lady behind the desk was nice and help me get everything I needed with no fuss at all. this truly is the land of Oz.

That is all so awesome. Hehe, sorry about being one of the silent readers all this time. I'm really glad things are falling into place for this lovely adventure you are taking. Tiffany and I keep talking about coming to visit, so staying for 3 years is all the better for us. TTFN =)

Hurray for you!!! What a great adventure! God is good! And He answers our prayers!
We are jealous of your sight-seeing. Would love to explore the area with you.
